Seven Lesson DVD
Each lesson features a five-minute biographical story profiling an individual or family living in poverty. They speak about the hope Christ brings to them and the strength they need to overcome adversity.
The Film
The film, God Bless the Child, starring Academy Award® nominated actress Mare Winningham is also woven into the weekly lessons. The movie provides a realistic portrayal of a mother and daughter who struggle against the spiraling effect of poverty and homelessness.
The Student Guide
Each week the group delves into a Bible study lesson on God's heart for the poor, touching on issues of justice, love and care for the individuals in poverty. Discussion and application are key elements of this Bible study. Fresh ideas and strategies will emerge as the participants talk about reaching out to the poor in their city.
The Leaders Guide
The Leaders Guide provides leaders with suggestions promoting, preparing for, facilitating and following up the study.
