Here's Life Inner City partners with churches, ministries, businesses, and a multitude of Jacksonville volunteers to provide hope and practical help for the poor of metropolitan Jacksonville, FL.

The mission of Here's Life Inner City Jacksonville is to serve and mobilize the church to live out God’s heart for the poor. We do this by training and resourcing volunteers in our partner ministries (churches and ministries with a concern for the poor) in a proven strategy called the Circle of Hope.

The Circle of Hope strategy features three stages: Connecting, Empowering, and Developing.

Connecting – We provide compassionate evangelism products to connect with the poor at their point of urgent need:

  • Boxes of Love – a box of food for a needy family of six given for the Thanksgiving season.
  • Homeless Care Kits – winter survival kits of blankets, gloves, hats, socks, scarves and toiletries.
  • PowerPacks – Backpacks with schools supplies, shoes and a Bible.
  • Easter Bags – a bag of candies, toys, crayons and a Easter coloring book.

Empowering – We provide evangelism and discipleship training which allows our partner ministries to work holistically with the needy:

  • Training Seminars – train thousands of volunteers in urban churches and ministries to effectively evangelize and express God’s compassion among the poor through distribution of the compassionate evangelism products.
  • Prison MinistryWorkNet training assists in the positive return of ex-prisoners to society which reduces the number of inmates returning to jail.
  • Compassion By Command – a seven-session video and Bible study course which educates the broader, non-urban Body of Christ about God’s heart for the poor.
  • Christian Discipleship Training Center (CDTC) – a one and two year program integrating Bible and Ministry courses to develop Christian leaders to build multiplying ministries. The training emphasizes practical application.

Developing – We provide development programs which help break the cycle of poverty and develop the poor into functioning members of society.
